TweetSo these guys & gals make up about 1/5 of the delegates to the Democratic National Convention. These "superdelegates" aren't voted into these important seats by the people. They just make superdelegate. It looks like these superdelegates will choose the democratic nominee.

TweetI wonder how many of them put their own aspirations aside. Especially the younger ones that have their futures glaring them in the face and probably wet their pants around some of the party elders. You know they probably act like a little lap-dog when their owner walks up.

TweetSuperdelegates are the democratic members of congress, voted officials (not voted superdelegate, but elected governors etc..), former Dem presidents, etc etc... There are 796 of them in total right now, if I'm not mistaken. Each superdelegate is... a delegate, so in a close race such as the dems are having, these superdelegates will decide the nominee. The state caucuses and whatever, (the average American) vote makes up around 3,000 delegates. So, these superdelegates can make the man, or wo-man, in the current situation.
I read up on them a little this morning. They're unpledged of coarse, so they can vote for whoever they want. If a superdelegate endorses outside the party, they loose their "superdelegate" status. I'm sure there is some pretty persuasive things that go on between these superdelegates. Especially in a race like they're having right now.
