haven't heard a lot of chatter on this board in awhile about this awesome but dangerous compound. I have done two short cycles with it in the last two years and got awesome results. I never liked the shaky feeling about an hour after shot/carbs...i would end up stuffing my face to make it go away...

I think the hard part about insulin is trying not to gain too much fat.

anyone else have comments...i'm thinking about adding this in again soon

I've used Humalog in the past, working up to 15iu/d. I loved the constant full feeling I feel while on it.

As long as you know what you're doing (that's a big 'if' as there are a lot of young jarhead's on the boards in general), it's not too risky IMO.

      btw, I'm not calling you a jarhead...LoL

LOL. Seriously it is probably the riskiest supplimentation bodybuilders can take. People use it successfully all the time but to me it's not worth a few extra pounds unless you compete. Not many do here or ever will. All the spikes and valleys you can get in your blood sugar levels put alot of stress on the heart. People may be shortening there lives with insulin use in this fashion. Now this is just my opinion, I have nothing against people using it.

i ran it off and on for a about a year. i used it post cycle to help me keep gains. for that it worked well. i like you hate having to worry about gaining fat.

10iu post workout was fine for me with 75 grams of dextrose then a high carb hour later. i used humalog so i could usually get in 2 small meals before its effect was gone

havent used it in a long time

im going back and forth on trying it again. I seemed to have bad reactions to it...I went back through my journals and I've used it for 5 - 5 week cycles But about two years ago I got tired of the feeling and stopped.

I agree with the sentiment that it's probably the most risky supplement/drug a bodybuilder can take since if you screw up even once you get to take the dirt nap.

One huge benefit of insulin is that you can substantially increase the efficiency of what would normally be a very average cycle. I used it with anavar in the past and the results were pretty astounding given the limited side effects I encountered during the cycle.

FIRST OF ALL, I AGREE WITH ALL THE ABOVE POSTZZZZ ABOUT SLIN.

u need to use this formula no matter what to be on the safe side:

FOR EVERY 1 IUS OF SLIN, U NEED 1GRAM OF SUGAR AND 1 GRAM OF CARBS

i never use the fast acting humalog, i always loved humalin R and i'am on it now .....
with slin, u will gain weight, mostly water all over and fat around tummy and where the love handle are....
SLin in the long term can make u diabetic"just want to be honest and blunt to u, but we all take risks."

i read ur post that you were having a prob anything above 5 ius and that is due not eating enough carbs and sugar and basically if u were sleepy all the time, its a sign of getting hypo, sometime u get cold and hot sweats, blurry vision, dizzy ....been there myslef as well.....

People usually use slin for bulking and pct... but some pros use it for dieting as well but u need to know what u are doin.....

u take slin on the days that u are working out immedialtey after gym or once u get home..start wt 2 ius every 2 days and bump it up another 1 ius every 2 days till u hit 10 ius and NO NEED TO GO ABOVE 10 IUS...

TRY TO STICK WT DRY CLEAN CARBS LIKE MASHED POTATOES AND SWEET POTATOES TO REDUCE THE FAT BUT AS LONG AS U ARE GETTING THE CARBS..
I usually take my 10 ius and eat my normal meal filled wt carbs and by the time im done (like 15-20 mns eating)..i take 2 scoops of cell tech and i say cell tech due to high sugar and carbs and i followed wt prolab n large due to high carbs and sugar as well...
i know snickers uses something else beside prolab and its good as well..

always have like twix, snickers or any type of sugar in case if u get hypo.....
if u were getting the signs to fast do not trip out, TAKE A FAST ACTING LIKE LIQUID CARBS AND SUGAR, aka SODA, LIKE PEPSI COKE AND THAT WILL MAKE U SNAP OUT..AND ONCE U ARE DONE, EAT AND TAKE UR SHAKE AND CARBS, BASICALLY ANY TYPE OF DEXTROSE TO MAKE U SNAP OUT....

thx bigmike I never got the tired, hypo, cold sweats issues you talked about...but I did get the dizzy "I haven't ate enough" going to crash if I don't stuff my face feeling!

Something you addressed I might have been doing wrong (I'll have to look at my training log from back then) is that I might have only been taking 1 gram of sugar per iu and not 1 gram of sugar/1 gram of complex carbs you stated.

...And like you said I always kept a pepsi or mt.dew around and I would pull out of it...just wasn't a fun feeling!
