TweetOk I am not going to waste the time explaining the importance of the right training music. You all know.
There are 3 types of music I listen to when I lift
Hard rock - Manson, metallica, Korn, NIN, Disturbed, Bizkit, Hatebreed, slipknot,
Not a place for U2 . I also like the classics like ACDC Zepplin etc.
Hard Rap
Eminem, TheGame (of course), Lil John, DMX, Xzibit, Ice Cube, Dre, Snoop
You wont find and gold digger here.
And Tech/euro club stuff, You know the stuff that will make you want to move even after 3 sets of squat.
This is the area I need some expansion on... I always find maybe 1 song or two I like by a group and the rest is junk.

TweetI've been selecting some music that helps me do cardio and it isn't always my favorite music. For example, Nirvana is one of my favs but it doesn't inspire me to pick up the pace on the cross-trainer. Here are some that have worked for me in the past month:
GnR
ACDC
Bon Jovi (surprised? so was I but he does a lot of anthems that inspire)
Metallica
Green Day
Eminem

[Referring to Pump]"I am like, uh, getting the feeling of coming in a gym, I'm getting the feeling of coming at home, I'm getting the feeling of coming backstage when I pump up, when I pose in front of 5,000 people, I get the same feeling, so I am coming day and night. I mean, it's terrific. Right? So you know, I am in heaven."--Schwarzenegger

I will run these for a few months and then re do the whole list. I have iTunes on my lap top with 1,035 songs. So, as I listen to it while I work (I work from home) I will drag and drop songs into the next workout playlist. Then, when I get tired on this one I just delete it off my mp3 player and load the new one. It's taken me quite some time to get all the songs on there and I still have about 40 CD's to load up into it. Of course, I only load the songs I like, I don't load the whole CD. It I did that I'd have about 10,000 songs on there. There are a lot of CD's I only take one or two songs from. I go online to get most of my songs now because I don't want to pay $15 for two songs.
