TweetSorry about that bro, I think bedrest is all they recommend. I'd probably load up on some usual anti-ox's too like Vit C & E, NAC, etc. Hope you get better soon.
TweetDamn I feel like shit. I dont want to do anything but go to bed. I have to go into work early today to order wine for the week and I've already set it back 3 hours.
Any tips on getting over this shit faster than normal?

How is infectious mononucleosis treated?
Usually only self-care is needed for mono.
Get plenty of rest.
Gargle with saltwater or use throat lozenges to soothe your sore throat.
Take acetaminophen (such as Tylenol) or ibuprofen (such as Advil) to reduce fever and to relieve sore throat and headaches.
Avoid contact sports and heavy lifting to reduce the risk of rupturing your spleen, which may become enlarged during an episode of mono.
Corticosteroids are occasionally used to reduce throat swelling (such as from swollen tonsils) and for an enlarged spleen.
Most people recover fully from mono after several weeks. However, it may take several months to regain your normal energy levels.

Aerobics: a series of strenuous exercises which help convert fats, sugars, and starch into aches, pains and cramps! (that's why I don't do 'em LOL)
Tweeti had it when i was a teen. i was down for 2 weeks and wasnt right for well over a month.
i think i would try taking immune boosters like zinc, c, and homeopathic wellness treatments.
unfortunately there is no cure so you must suffer through it
word of advise........take it easy........i know that is hard for a busy person but the more you exert yourself the longer you will be sick and run the risk of further complications
Tweetgo see a dr. and they can give u steroids for ur immun system. that fluids and rest. try to stay postive. its a mental game too. i had that shit once and it wasnt fun. dont exercise u can really fuck urself up. i had lower back pains cause my spleen was so enlarged. hope u get better soon.

TweetIm geting some antibiotics from a friend today. I know you cant cure Mono with them but I do have a really bad sinus infection that I need to clear up.
Im starting to wonder if I have Mono or not. My symptoms areant that bad, Im just tired, cough a lot and have a sinus infection.
I drank 3 cups of green/ black tea last night at work with honey and lemon that seemed to help some.
TweetSounds like its just the sinus infection...that can zap ya out, too!Originally Posted by crombie09
