Tweet^steroid does not kill u, UNLESS U overdose BIG TIME.......
TweetI agree whicha MIKEY, I was disgusted with the online preview I saw yesterday. MTV is putting out a bunch of misinformation IMO. HBO Sports did it right.
TweetMike - Steroids CAN kill you, but it's not likely. It's just like ephedra, did ephedra kill people or was it their preexisting heart conditions that killed them? If you have a bad liver or bad kidneys or even a bad heart, aas can contribute to the failure of that organ. That's why the smart people get their blood work done. Something I'm sure they wont bother to mention on that dumb show. The thing people don't understand is the liver can repair itself if given enough rest and the proper supps like Acetyl L-Carnitine and CO-Q10.
But you are right, they will put everything out of context and say stupid stuff without anything to back it up. In one sense, if it keeps teenagers from doing it I'm for it. Teenagers need to learn to take advatage of their natural growth while they can. There is no reason a 16 or 17 year old kid needs to be on a cycle, IMO. So, with that said, I hope it does scare some kids away. After all, it's mostly kids who watch MTV anyways so I'm sure the aim is to get kids to think otherwise. However, I think a show of lung cancer and smoking would have been a much better choice. Everywhere I look there are young kids smoking.
