TweetI just got back from the doc (for the 4th time this year) and they loaded my us up with 3 weeks antibiotics, 3 wks. prednisone, 3wks decongestant and flonase! The next step will have to be surgery if this shit doesn't work. Any of you have bad sinus probs?

Tweetahh that sucks kite! Hope the meds clear that up and you dont need the surgury, although that may be the longer term fix- doesnt sound like too much fun. Hope you feel better
TweetOne of my probs is that I live in south Ga. and am allergic to pine trees and for those of you that don't know, Ga. is packed full of those *****es everywhere you go! I'm moving to the beach, phuck this shit! What really pisses me off is I WAS going to do a pl meet in Aug. but I haven't been able to hit the gym hard enough with all of this other bull shit going on so I think it would just be best for me to sit this one out, I'll probably judge or help spot, then just get my training back on track and do a meet this fall. SUCKS ASS!
Tweetthat sucks bro...but, in the long run, the surgery might be a better fix than the meds!! and if you have insurance..it might be cheaper in the long run...just a thaught...

TweetBro, I have bad sinuses. I have taken EVERYTHING. Literally, everything. I have even done the shots. I used to go twice a week for 4 years and that didn't even work. The only thing that has worked for me is Flonase. Its great stuff. Smells like roses and it doesn't taste like anything. If you have taking and nose spray before when it gets into your throat, taste horrible. But not with Flonase. I had a camera stuff up my nose once. That was interesting. But anyways....Good luck bro.!Originally Posted by kite

TweetYeah I know, and for 3 weeks too. Gonna bloat up and won't be getting much sleep for the next couple of weeks.Originally Posted by Friggemall
TweetFlonase works great, and its not systemic like Prednisone, so you wont get the gitters and skin crawling sensations along with other sides like I got before. I cant take that stuff for more than like 3 days. I've had nose surgery about 5 years ago due to a deviated septum and something else, and it opened me up some, but I still get sinus problems.
Tweetdid your allergist suggest shots, for it? Its helped me quite a bit. I only get it maybe once a yr now, and its not nearly as bad. I does take about six months to start working though.
TweetI was on shots when I was a kid, but he said he didn't believe that I'd benefit at all from them now.
TweetFlonase is the way to go.
