TweetI used to long time ago. Very hard to quit, better to never get started. I hear something on CNN about it last night. Alot of young girls are taking up smoking now, because it greatly reduces appetite and also effects the nervious system. So like the young girls don't want to be fat or overweight, because the media. Thats who they target is the young ppl and especially young women now.

TweetOne thing i found and i know this might sound dumb and kind of a no brainer, but you really, really have to want to quit to be successful. I tryed all kinds of things, the gum, patch etc., and still went back. What i did is start smoking a brand i really didn't care for, and get really drunk and smoke till i hated it. Then i stopped cold turkey, and kept telling myself "whatever your mind tell you to do to start up again don't do it" and i just kept that up and tried avoiding situations and things that would provoke me wanting one. Even if it meant not going to clubs, parties, etc., at least until i could handle the urges. another thing is my girl didn't like the smell and kiss a guy that smoked.

Tweeti have cut back to 5 per day. my wife smokes so it makes quitting extra hard. but i am ready! especially at my advanced age...LOL

TweetMy dad..smoked for well over 15 yrs..or even more..he completely quit smoking..and has been clean for 2 months now..and it seems like he doesn`t even crave..

My mother tried too..but she couldn`t handle..heavy smoker for what 25yrs..and her lungs are still good.. can`t believe this..

Anyways.. sorry that I posted a question regarding rec. drugs.. I really didn`t mean regular cigarettes.. but let`s keep it clean then...

Anyways, if you smoke regular stuff or the stuff good ol' Arnie did in Pumping Iron movie.. is it bad..if you have it once in a while.. especially if youre on gear..

TweetNever got into smoking cigarettes or cigars. Shit stinks to high hell but for some strange reason I use to dip Copenhagen like mad for 7 years. Quit cold turkey after having a life threating wake up call. Never touched the stuff again. I've been completely clean from tobacco for 4 years and haven't had alcohol in nearly a year. Don't miss either.
