Paintball Players Here?
TweetWould you play a paint ball game, that has no paint, but a special vest that show you that you were it. The gun and equipments are all supplied. A game is 15min, similar to speed ball and cost about 7$

TweetGuys!!! Its real plastic ball, if you get it YOU GET HURT same as paintball. The only thing is that you dont have the paint getting out of the ball and the balls are reusable. But there is a special vest, that can indicate a score if you like. But the vest when hit, shows a flurescent marks where you were hit.

Tweetoh yeah, the balls are harder than the normal paintballs balls. Same size .68, but you dont get dirty. So if you want to end an evening with some buddies shooting similar to paintball without the consequences of getting dirty and all, it sounds good?

Problem is.. with paintball, you get a kill even when you nail the guy square in the googles. With your system, it's only the vest.
But it would be better than laser tag for an indoor environment.

Tweetsounds good in theory but i think there may be some difficulties.
most fields have crono limits at 300 fps. anything slower than that the balls just dont fly far enough. so if you use a non-breakable ball it would probably have to be set at 300 fbs as well. the problem comes when you get shot at close range. the fact that paintballs break decreases the harm inflicted. if it didnt break (like frozen paintballs) it would cause much more harm and pain. this is why fields will through you off if they catch you with frozen paintballs.
my concern with your idea is basically that your balls may inflict as much harm and pain as frozen paintballs.
