TweetI have been using creatine for about a year now, and recently decided to stop using it because of its effect of water retention, but creatine is useful for repairing the muscles. Is there another product out there which is just as good? Or should I still use creatine but not as much! Please reply..

TweetMost everything I have read says you should cycle off of it every few months or so. Stay off for a few weeks.
"There is no such thing as big pussies just little dicks. If it is loose just keep packing dick to it."
TweetI just find that hard to believe. All I have every heard is how creatine will cause water retention. I firmly believe it did in me when I was on it. I was on for three months off for 1 month for about a year. Within one week of getting off of creatine I lost 10 lbs. While on I almost looked like I had gyno. My chest got firmer an I lost all the gyno look when I got off. If not water what could this be attributed to?.Originally posted by maki riddington

TweetThat's the thing, it's something you've heard. What we hear (passed down through the grapevine) and what is fact are two different things.
At this time it is unknown, the study I posted, stated that it could be due to "dry matter" growth. There is still alot that is unknown about Creaine, there are however theories floating around that are usually passed off as fact.

Tweeti dont feel any bloat on creatine
TweetPossibly a placebo effect? There is no doubt I hold water when I use creatine. Could it be the dextrose I add to it and the bloat and puffy nipples be fat from the calories?

Tweethow does creatine impact a diabetic--any ideas?
TweetEveryone's body is different. I have tried creatine on more than one occasion, between many months, even a year apart and BAAAM! Water retention. I know some other guys at the gym with the same situation. Lucky for those who don't get it.
