TweetTendenitus, arthritus, bursitus.....
I suffer from bursitus and have good days and bad. I will pop a few anti-inflamatorys (Advil) and it seems to help the pain.
TweetI've had tendenitis more times than I can count. The first time I had it was in my shines. I was doing a lot of aerobics at the time. The last couple of times I've had it was in my right elbow. I'm afraid it's chronic because that is the arm I broke in a car accident in high school.
The first time I went to the doctor about my elbow he gave me Naproxen (Aleve) 500 mgs (2 x day). I told him that I was taking 2 Aleve 2x a day, but he said that wasn't enough. 2 Aleve = 220 mgs. He said I could do 2 Naproxen in the morning and 3 at night. Then the next time I got it really bad, I went back he gave me Celebrex and a shot of cortisone. That Celebrex is great stuff. I works a lot faster than Naproxen ever thought about. The problem is insurance never wants to cover it.
Best thing is to take an anti-inflammatory like Ibuprofen (Advil) or Naproxen (Aleve)... if you can get a Rx like Celebrex. Use an Ice pack for 15 minutes to help reduce the inflammation... rotating the ice pack on 15 minutes / off 15 minutes for a couple of days until it start healing.
TweetI got it in my elbow and it hurt to push. Pulling wasn't to bad but it was killer pain. I have mobic for my neck so I started taking it and it helps it out. If you want better Aleve go with Napralean . It is a higher dose and different formula. I swap them around so my body don't get used to it so soon.
