Yeah I'm a retired track star. In my prime I never did too much distance work and I was chiseled bro. n/j Sprint a 200 walk a 200. Or you can also stride the straight away and jog the turn. gym cardio is ok but this way will take you over the hump into the fat burning zone when you heartrate is up a lot more.
