TweetI have been taking 10 ius of slin in the morning and 10ius post workout. My question is should i keep upping the dose? I have not had the slightest case of hypo as i have plent of dextrose and carbs. how do i know if i should increase it more. What results do you look for to know your high enough?

TweetKind of hard to answer that question with out knowing what your goals are. The doses that you are at right now are twice what I have taken for slin and I had great results at a lower dose. The better and more high quality foods, ie...high protein, low complex carb and low fat foods you take in within the first 45 minutes of your shot is what makes all the difference in the world in my opinion. You should be gaining good with what your at. If you do go higher be sure you dont go anywhere during the day without having a pocket full of glucose tabs so if you start feeling hypo pop a few and chew them up until you can get a good meal in.

I have been taking atleast 75g of protein during those two hours. should i try to take more during use? I am trying to seriouslt put on weight. I have literally never been able to put on fat or any weight easily so thats why im using slin. TweetAbsolutely get high protein during these times. Better that the protein comes from whole foods instead of from shakes. If you are taking humalog(which you should be) look at the insert of the box and it will have a curve plotted out in a graph form. On the bell curve if I remember right the apex of the bell curve is appx. 45 min. after injection where the drug is at its most active. Although you need to be concious of your intake from the time of the injection and for at least another 4 hours the mechanism of action of the drug is the highest then. Keep in mind that no matter where the protien and carbs come from if you have an abundance of them your body will metabolize what it cant use. I've ALWAYS aired on the conservative side and gotten more than I think i needed.
Tweetthe slin is acting as a shuttle to get the nutrients to your muscle....so the more the better(protien)
