I once heard that Deca is used for patients with HIV, but I am not sure what the reason was.

Here is some info that I found in an article:

"In another study of HIV+ men (6) we can see that deca ( 200mgs on week 1, 400 on week 2 and 600mgs for weeks 3-12) caused NO negative side effects in total or LDL cholesterol, triglycerides, or insulin sensitivity and there was a reduction of HDL cholesterol(8-10 points) in both groups. Also, in most studies with HIV+ subjects, deca also improved immune function.

TweetNot sure, research it. If you google it or look on WebMd you could prob find a sufficient answer. All i know is that I was on a prescription steroid for inflamation and it said that it DOES weaken your immune system and can make infections worse and lesson the ability of antibiotics to work properly. I always thought stweroids did this, so not sure about certain types, maybe they affect your immune sys differently. It did increase my white blood count though, althugh thats not really a good thing if it was already normal.

I believe that steroids that are administered for inflammation have different effects than anabolic steroids. For example: Cortisone shots, for inflammation, are different than anabolics, and when given, can bring on an infection if one is already starting, thus weakening the immune system.

thanks baby, that actually does help quite a bit I knew it was one that they use on HIV positive guys!!

I would love to get on gH but the well is dry on that one shizzy.

Strella you are probably thinking of prednisone which is nasty stuff my doc have had me on 50mgs of that stuff a day for over a month now its terrible on bones immune systems and numerous other things.

TweetIm not sure as far as boosting it by itself, probally if you're on a Decca/Test cycle adding the good diet, excercise and lifestyle will be the benificial. I've done quite a bit of reading on the subject and yes anabolic steroids do help ALOT of folks with wasting syndrome from cancer, hiv,..the list goes on. but for some reason it's hard to get or impossible (for me) to get from a doc.

see that is fu*ked up I guess it has to do with the negative attention and the lack of knowledge but if its show to work why the bloody hell not!
