See if I could get a few suggestions. I use to be 6 foot 3 and weigh 250. Benched 280 anyway I was pretty good size. I had neck surgery back in Feb now I weigh 215 and be lucky to get 150 up . I started months ago to get back in training but was to soon. I looking to start maybey in mid Sept to get back in the weight room. Looking for suggestion for getting back in shape after this long recovery, like how should I start out , or where should my main focus be as well as a good all around cycle. Thanks in advance bros

I'VE ONLY BEEN "LAID OFF" OF TRAINING FOR ABOUT A 6 WEEKS AND I'VE DROPPED WEIGHT IN LB'S, AND IN WORKOUT WEIGHT...I CAN IMAGINE HOW YOU FEEL. START BACK SLOWLY BRO, I'M DOING FULL BODY WORKOUTS 2X'S A WEEK FOR A COUPLE...THEN MOVE TO 3 FOR A COUPLE, THEN I'LL LOOK AT A MORE STANDARD SPLIT. SO FAR SO GOOD...KEEP YOUR HEAD UP BRO...IT'LL COME BACK...JUST LISTEN TO YOUR BODY, AND DONT OVER DO IT.

Exactly my advice would be from above. your much better off building your strength foundationa nd getting your diet in order again before cycle. whats your big 3? I wouldnt start cycle til you're @ minimum squating 375+, benching 275 and DLing in the 375- range

This is just a suggestion. Figure out your one rep max, then start off at maybe 40% for week 1, 45% week 2, 50% week 3, 55% week 4, etc... Use the proper rep range for your goal (endurance, hypertrophy, strength). Actually, you should spend some time in each of those categories. JMO And, DON'T use AAS for good long while man. That's just crazy.

Don't mean to knock on anyone else's advice but I definetely would stay away from your 1 rep max for a few weeks till your body gets used to lifting again. I messed up something in my shoulder a little over a month ago and just started working out again.
I tried to start off with a moderate weight and it was still excrutiating (doing incline bench). But I can manage to do both flat and decline without any pain. I guess what I'm trying to get at is feel out your body. If there is alot of pain in any routine you do either drop that routine, or significantly drop the weight in that area. On the rest of your body I'd just go with some moderate weights to get your muscles used to working out again. After like 2 weeks then you should try for your 1 rep max. Good luck bud!

      DJ,

If your referring to me, I didn't mean physically figure it out lol. There's one-rep max calculators that he can use that will give him a ball park to mess with etc.. Was just trying to say start slow (and way low) and build up at 5% increases.

Yeah I wasn't sure so I just wanted to clarify so it wasn't taken in the literal sense.
