TweetMy amp opener broke after 20 amps. I now use a tile cutting hacksaw blade to score the neck of the amp. I can then easily pop the top off of my ICN's, in my fingers, with very little pressure.

Go to the hardware store and buy a small precision file, gently file the neck while you rotate the amp creating a small scratch around the neck.

Then hold the neck with a table cloth and snap it off. Be sure not to squeeze the neck while you snap it off or it will shatter.

The first few times you can wrap ductape around the neck until you get a feeling for the right amount of force to apply, that way the glass shards wont fall into the oil if you happen to shatter the neck.

Tweetdude all you have to do is get a small file, nail file will work but not as good. simply score around the whole amp and simply pop the top off. Its really simple..
