      40 pounds in 8 months is no joke, you've got plenty of time ahead of you, and you may also want to consider what its doing to your heart in such a short period of time.

      I have heard of 70 pounds in a year, and the guy died, although through recreational drugs I believe, or maybe it was slin overdose (on purpose), I've heard of several deaths lately so I am probably getting a few of them mixed up.

      The time off doesn't start now. If you just did your last shot you've got 3 to 5 weeks before the juice clears your system. THEN the time off starts. If you only take 5 weeks off from now you're essentially doing back-to-back cycles. If you follow the time off = time on rule you shouldn't think about another cycle for at least 3 months.

      The reasons for taking time off are that you're not going to get shit from the next cycle if you don't give your body time to adjust and your receptors time to up regulate. You're doing your heart and your endocrine system a big favor by giving it time off.

      I did what you're thinking about doing. I jumped back on my next cycle in no time (6 weeks). My blood pressure was normal. My sex drive was back to normal. I was maintaining my weight. I went back on. I didn't get as much. Not nearly as much.

      The time off is an investment. It's part of the price you pay for a good cycle. It's worth it!

      time on = time off IMO is just stupid. Why mess around and guess with a rule like that. Dont be cheap, go get your blood work done and know for sure. IF you have insurance itll cost you what, a $20 copayment? If you dont have insurance, you can find places that will do a saliva test for around $100 for all.

      Some may only need 5wk for recovery. Other may need 20wks. There is way too many variables to go off some rule of thumb.

      IMO, the reason people gain better with more time off is because they're losing muscle in the interim. I think that as soon as your test levels are up and running again, it's ok to go back on. In fact, it's probably a good idea if you want to make the most out of your gains.

      I have to agree with Billy. This idea that someone can tell whether they have recovered normal function based on time off=time on is pretty foolish. Go get an endo screen done and you won't have to guess.

      mods, vets, please back me up here. but i rmember reading somewhere that the receptor downgrading is a load of shit. it doesnt happen.

      I'll use my gurus(Dharkam and Huck) here to add to this:"Androgen receptors are in fact protein.Any single protein in your muscles goes through a constant turnover.This means your muscles are constantly gaining new androgen receptors while old receptors are being destroyed.The turnover of androgen receptors is amazingly rapid,taking at most a few hours.A small fall in the rate of destruction will induce a rapid acute upregulation by extending the life cycles of the individual receptors.If the rate of synthesis is increased while the rate of degredation is unchanged(or reduced)your muscles gain receptors."
      Seems to fit hand in hand with what most A/S do,increase protein synthesis(anabolic)/slow degradation(anti-catabolic).Would it not stand to reason that the longer one is in this state,the more A/R's one will be creating,hence'up-regulating'?
