      Getting Big In Prison

I have a relative who did 2 1/2 years. He came out big and strong. Alot bigger and stronger than when he went in.

      In prison he....
Didnt get 4000+ calories a day.
Didnt get 350+ grams protein a day
      Didnt get enough sleep
      Overtrained (they lifted weights everyday)
Didnt have any gear.... and still grew.

Going by what I always read people say on this and many other boards he should have made little or no progress. He is not a genetic freak, although he does have good genetics. But its not only him. Other people I know have gone in and done time under same situations as above and still grew.

I know that had he had gear, ate right (calories, protein), got rest, not over trained and juiced he would have had better results.......but it seems to me that people in prison are proof that the body can adapt and will grow, even when the rules of body building are not (or cannot) be strictly followed.

So why do I read posts about people on AAS not getting results when it seems you can do everything wrong and still grow?

I would say a lot is recuperation both physically and mentally....When the boys are in for a long stretch they have tons of time....no worries, no rent to pay, no food to buy, no children to care for, etc. Plus the everyday stresses on the body our not there. They are basically working out and getting full muscle recuperation and low cortisol levels since stress is low....my 2cc lol...

I think it shows how important training is. And they also have a good bit of motivation, its either get big or get pounded in the ass all day.

      ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME?

no stress in jail, HOLY SHIT MAN, i would have to say jail would be one of the most stressful places in the world

people tell you when to eat, breathe, shit, workout (talk about frusteration), always looking over your shoulder, and worrying about what hte next guy MIGHT do (stress)

man, i think the time is the key, along with consistency ... time as in when you haven't seen a person ins 2.5 years they look different no matter what, and consistency with their workouts

      I agree completely.

If you think there is no stress in prison then you are either totally clueless or completely out of your mind.

Ok boys Ive did alittle under three years in the joint. Thats when I got healthy. And as far as stress goes after you go through court in the county, get your bit, go through Quorantine and get a house your pretty straight. And as far as sleep I dont know what the hell your talking about , but I slept up 12 to 14 hours a day. And I had all the food I wanted. They give you three Squares of exactly what you need. As far as getting more you have to get a little creative but you can get more calories. ( sneaking food back to your house, running your own kitchen after lights out.) I also went in under nurished at 149 lbs and came out 186 at about 8% BF( Im 6'2"). Prison was a good thing for me and thats also the place I learned about nutrition, proper lifting technics and every thing to get big. So its not all that stressful you have to clear your mind and think this is my home now so quite being a ***** and get over it. You have a out date and a goal to grow and get healthy. Thats why he came home bigger.

I spoke with him earlier today. He lifted weights everyday and did 500 - 900 push ups a day. He didnt eat good, he said he was always hungry and the meals were not 3 square meals a day. He also didnt or couldnt sleep 12 to 14 hours a day. He said he usually slept 5 to 6 hours a day.

I'm going to do a modified version of his work out routine. I will work my way up to 900 push ups EOD and lift weights on the days inbetween. No days off from working out and I only get about 6 hours sleep a night here at home. I eat 5 meals a day and have suppliments and cycles. I am going to do this for at least a 1 year.

I'm looking forward to this modified prison work out program. Everything I've read and learned about body building tells me that this isnt the 'right way' to go about it.......but I have seen some great results from people who go away for 1 to 3 years and come back out alot bigger.

I see what your saying, but how much did he really gain. My brothers been and said tons of guys get big but how long have these guys been there. In that 2.5 years how much more could he have put on if had done it right.
