TweetI pretty sure he will start seeing things soon. I think you can die from not sleeping too. I doubt he will make it. I'm sure the body will say enough and nothing he can do will keep him awake.
TweetThis has nothing to do with this board, but i found it amusing and was looking for some information, facts, and opinions here.
My friend is being an obvious moron, trying to break the world record for days away which is 11. Hes on day 3. Im looking for information, facts, opinions, whatever regarding this. What happens to your body without sleep? How probable is it that he will make it? All comments welcome.![]()

Tweeti will give him 5 days before his brain kicks his arse for doing that i love sleep to much to even think about it tell him to get a new hobby
TweetIn the service in SERE school, I went 3 full days without sleep. The guards would not let you sleep. Anytime they saw you start to nod, you'd be "punished". Punishments ranged from being hosed off with a fire hose (this was in November), to being thrown into a small box, etc.
Anyway, I can say your mind will play wild tricks on you. They had freaky music playing, sounds of kids crying, etc. You will start to imagine and see things. There will be zero energy to do anything. We also had food deprevation to make matters worse.
I give your friend not much longer than today. It all depends on motivation. If there is a damn good reason to do it, then he'll last longer, otherwise his mind will just shut off and he'll sleep.
It's better to burn out, than to fade away...
