Tweetmore a fan of dyazide since it is potassium sparing. lasix is brutal hard on you and pulls everything out while drying you out. can be very dangerous. if you have to use it, i would go as low as possible and keep pushing electrolytes in because it is going to flush them as soon as you put them in

Tweetlike guns said, lasix is rough. electrolytes will go nuts on this. the dr gave me hydrochlorothiazide along with lisinopril for bp and that shyt is a powerful enough diuretic to have me pissing like a racehorse all day. if you're not in a position to be competing for a MR O type contest i wouldn't screw around with anything like lasix.
Tweeti am pretty sure that hydrocholorothiazide is dyazide bigdawg. even though none of them are completely safe it is one of the safest. that along with aladoctone

TweetYes he's right. Dyazide is hydrochlorothiazide mixed with another drug another diuretic. Just like aldactazide is aldactone mixed with hydrochlorothiazide. The Hydrochlorothiazide makes a humongous difference it makes the diuretic so much stronger. So, say you were taking aldactone the whole week and you switch to a Dr I'd for the last day it will definitely help you drop more water but you have to continually drink To Stay full looking. Otherwise, if you take a drug like out that reside and cut your water you will look so flat by that Saturday morning you won't even believe it. Lasix is not a drug that's needed it really isn't. I look at it as a drug for an emergency like if at the last minute the day of the contest you're holding water and you need to get rid of it quickly. But, if you do everything right up to that point you should not be in that position.
TweetI assume you're talking about competing the last week before the show. I would start out with aldactone 10 days out 25 mg Maybe. That would be increased 2 about 50 mg at about the 7-Day out Mark. What you don't want to do is take too many diuretics and not drink any water it will flatten you out like crazy. That's the biggest mistake people make. You should be drinking tons of water the entire time you're on any kind of diuretic like this. The last maybe day before the show I would switch to something like dyazide twice a day. Again always drinking. That should be enough. Lasix is a drug I always kept in reserve in case the day of the contest I hadn't gotten rid of enough water. It's a great drug for getting rid of that last bit of water very quickly. But I would never use it as my main diuretic. And again with Lasix you cannot stop drinking.
Tweetok protocol for dyazide....ive never used any diuretics before....just want to make sure im doing it right in case i do...i didnt have time to experiment on myself

TweetYes all you need is 1 37.5/25 Thursday night and one Friday night if prejudgibg is Sat morning. But, do not eliminate water intake at any point. I wouldn't go lower than 6oz per hour. Hydrochlorithiazide is a very, very strong diuretic. In diazide it's mixed with triamterene, a weaker potassium sparring diuretic. If you eliminate all water by Sat morning you will look as flat as a pancake. You want to hold water, just in the right place, the muscles. What you need elumumunated is any water between the skin and the muscle that is what makes you look smooth. But no water in the muscles themselves and you will be very, very flat.
Tweetmost i have ever needed was a 25 the night before right before bed and maybe 1/2 as soon as i get up before pre. most of the time the one before pre is not needed. it will pull off any residual sub q water over night 99% of the time

TweetGiving answers to these questions is like shooting at a target in the dark. Do not know anything about the person, does he tend to hold water or not. With diuretics there never really is a plan going in. Your people just monitor you. If they think your holding too much water you react accordingly.
TweetLast show I did I remember running Diazide,Aladactone or maybe it was both the last week. Starting 7 days out I was also drinking 1 liter of water every hour = 3 gallons per day during the time I was awake. I pushed this much water until 7pm the night before pre judging before stopping. Because I did a few trial runs I knew I would keep pissing for the next 8-10 hours. I starting loading on high fats, simple carbs and salts around midnight. 30 min before pre judging I still couldn't fill out so I drank 2oz of water every 5 mins until the pump came back.
Guess what I am saying if you spend months getting ready do a few trial runs, get the timing down and for god sake don't follow advice that worked for somebody else. diuretics like slin are nothing to play with and reason I don't give advice on how to use
Good luck
TweetShit hes right! Always test out whatever diuretic youre planning on using to see how your body reacts to it.
DO NOT USE A DIURETIC FOR THE VERY FIRST TIME THE NIGHT BEFORE YOU COMPETE, THATS JUST INSANE.

Tweeti wonder if i should post a pic and if anyone can guage how much i need to run

Tweeti forgot to mention what pumped said. pick you up some dyazide and do a couple trial runs over the weekends, just like you would for a show. that will be your best gauge to find out how much or how little you need. most people like someone already pointed out will only need 1 or 2 at most the day before or early early morning of
