      Hello,

6'2, 250lbs, 36, male (played American football at 220-230lbs then added beer belly and love handles after I stopped a few years ago).

I am on a TRT dose of 150 mg/day of compounded cream(I know shots are better, that is not the point of this post though).

The first week on TRT I water bloated about 15 lbs. I was perscribed adex at .125mg 3x/week. I knew from the start that this was too low personally for me, as I blow up with bloat on any AAS,DS or PH (even the ones that are supposed to be dry).

Anyway, I am about 3 weeks in and I have had to take .25mg of adex daily to drain this water. I stayed bloated and had high e2 sides until the last couple days.

My question, from all of my internet readings, the average dose of adex to run with TRT is 1mg a week. My current protocal puts me at 1.75 mg a week. Is this an extreme dose? I have had gym friends that have ran adex at 3mg a week but they were on around a G of test/week. I know the dangers of crashing E2 but I am not feeling any low e2 sides at all, I actually feel like I am just barely seeing high e2 sides subsiding. I just want to make sure that 1.75-2mg /week is not an insanely high dose.

Also, I would think if I have ran this dose for 3 weeks with out an e2 crash, I should be safe moving forward. Is this logical or is 3 weeks not long enough to determine this?

Please share your thoughts on running adex at 1.75-2mg a week on a TRT protocol if I feel like I am at a good e2 level ( my next bloods aren't for 6 more weeks).

*I know that adex has a long half life and can be taken EOD or E3D. I like taking it ED to stay in habit and not forget dosing.

      Thanks.

Also, now that the high e2 sides are under control, can I throttle back on the Adex dose or should I continue to run it at the current level that is working?

      Thanks

something to consider your gym friends might be taking ugl adex and not a script. controlling estrogen is a b!tch but get the hang of it after a while. from what i can tell from your post is you feel good. Don't fix what is not broken. a dose that works for me might not work for you and vice versa. if you have a doc giving you a script for trt and adex I would ask to get your levels checked to ease your concerns.

also bouncing off of dk's response. dont forget that with cream you are peaking and dropping super super fast. so that in itself is going to cause serious issues in some people. if you absolutely have to go with the topical route then i would ask for a patch or go with an implant. one of the older guys at my gym uses the implant and swears by it. no estro issues or any issues at all except when it is starting to run out.

Yes that is a lot of Adex for TRT but some other area's to consider are; have you had full blood panel to see how where your levels are at? What is your diet like? Have you had bloods done while on your high Adex dose to see where your estrogen is? I've seen ppl hold water because of other issues going on in body like bad liver profile etc.

      Thanks for the input guys.

Diet is clean right now. 1800 cals and watching the sodium.

Both blood panels in the last 10 months indicate good liver and thyroid values. Everything else besides test and triglycerides were good as well. Next bloods (first while on trt will be early March).

March isnt far off at all. If stay you feeling good hold off changing anything. If your bloods come back good you now have a feel good baseline. If you decide to make changes and things dont go so well you know what to do to get back. Keep us updated if you can buddy.

I second that. March is just right around the corner, so if you're feeling great I wouldn't change a thing right now. Once you get your blood work back and see where you are, you'll have a better idea of what you should do.
