Whats the typical prescription dose of test? 250 mg a week would be my guess.
Does insurance cover that ? That would be great

It probably just depends on what he prescribes you bro depending on where your test levels are. They will most likely monitor your blood work and put you on a dose that will get you back to the normal (hopefully higher end of normal) range. Depending on your endo, or how well you know him/her, you may not be able to persuade a higher dosage as their ultimate goal is to get your levels back to normal. You can certainly add to it yourself, but keep in mind they will probably know by monitoring your blood work.

I would not waste my time. Do it on your own. Your lucky if they prescribe you 200mg a week! And yes, they will be monitoring you through blood tests. Just my opinion!

It actually was lower than that years ago but could be different now and depends on the doc.

no so much. if they put you on 50mg of test and it get;s your levels to normal then that's what they give you. if it takes 200 then that's the dose. they will do bloods for a few months to get you on point then you have to go back in every 6 months to make sure you are still good to go. i have only seen one doc do yearly so that's pretty rare. the every 6month check is the norm. but everyone's dose is different and some docs wont even let you get into the high normal range or put you on if you are in the very low normal range. some as with all docs can be a serious pain in the ass

If a patient supplements will the doc stop the treatment altogether based on bloods?

Fuzo had a urologist who prescribed it, and the endo wouldn't. The uro doc's protocol was normally less than 250mg a week. He only went higher because he was fully aware of Fuzo's history. In fact the few docs he had seen wanted to start with transdermals. Hopefully this doc you are seeing will work with you.

The only reason I see for going the prescription route would be if insurance pays for it. Then you can spend your money on the really high dose stuff

I don't know about all insurance but my buddy at work has to pay $100 a vial. So sad.

The problem is that they age type you. Docs only want to prescribe what gets you to the level of everyone else in your age group. We are over 50 but want our levels at a 30 yr. old. Also they mostly prescribe long esters so there is a huge curve in the effectiveness from day to day over a weeks time.

That's another draw back to going to the doc. Some of them push the transdermals hard. I know several guys who were prescribed the transdermal and it was the biggest hassle and waste of money. Just about every person I know that was prescribed the transdermal ended up going back and requesting the injectable.

if they catch you they will either cut it back or drop it all together. really depends on the doc. the trick is to come back down to where they want you when your bloods are due wink wink. you know well in advance when they are due to be done. so all you have to do is clean out and space out your dosing appropriately
