      I'm full of complaints tonight!

I just did my first ever quad shot. I had been using glutes exclusively until tonight.

Glutes have always been painless during and immediately following the injection. But my quad was NOT. The whole time the needle was in there it felt like it had a mild electric current running through it, or maybe like the muscle was tightening around the needle. As the gear flowed in, the feeling increased. "No problem", I thought, "it'll be over soon enough."

Then I extracted the pin, rubbed the site vigorously for a couple minutes and got up. Zowie! It feels like my thigh has been hit by a line drive!

I hope quad shots aren't always going to be like this. I want to try fina in the future so I need other sites.

Not looking for any info really, just wanted to piss and moan about it out loud.

      :p

the electric feeling makes me think you were on/by a nerve...

      it shouldn't hurt like that.

My lower leg did feel a little numb. Maybe you are right.

Should I move to another site if that happens again, or just eat the pain and go with it like I did?

I'll have to wait and see if I get a knot in the next day or so.

I usually get an involantary muscle contraction if I go through a nerve. it's only happened when the needle was 1/2 way in, so I just pushed the rest of the way in and injected. If it was towards the bottom of the pin, or while I was injecting, I'd probably pull out, switch pins and try again...

make sure you relax i havent done too many but the ones i have done are better when sitting in a chair with my feet propped up instead of having my knees bent sounds crazy but it works for me maybe i am just more relaxed and less likely to flinch or tense up.

I think it was just your nerves. First time for quads can be nerve racking for some people. If you hit a nerve you should know about it. You might have got close to a nerve though. Did you go slow how many cc's? Wish ya luck! what did ya use? What gauge pin?

The gauge was large, 22g1". That's all I have at the moment. I wanted to see if I could handle the 22 successfully. Next cycle should be easier with 25's.

It's morning now and the pain is completely gone from my leg! No knot either. All that rubbing paid off I think.

where were you shooting, I don't have problems with quad shots, I find it's one of the easier ones to do.

Quad shots for me too, painless, I had once a muscle twitching at 3/4 pin depth, just removed the pin and injected 1 cm above, never had a problem.

I wish I could do delts but my arms arent very big.

Defenitely use a 25g1" and it hurts less of you go directly into the side of you leg as oppossed to the upper portion of your thigh.
