TweetThe filter is only to be used when you sterilize the solution. its the very last step.
Tweetok my last post on art of fina making, in the gotfina faq the filter appears to be attached to a needle... well in my kit i have the 18g and 25g needle left. should i just switch out the other 18g needle i used on my smaller syringe to withdraw the 2cc of oil?
the filter attaches to a needle right?

TweetMake sure the filter is not on when you draw the oil. It is only to be used when you fill the sterile vial.
TweetYes, one of the needles goes on the straight end of the filter.
Use the 5 CC syringe to pull off 2 CC's of the oil for purging the filter.
TweetJust got done with my own 4g kit and it came out perfect gold. It is so easy to do. Now I can wait to make the next batch!

TweetYou use a 18 G needle and you stick it on the luer slip (straight) end of the filter. Insert it in to the sealed vial for filtering.
TweetXbiker, nice to see you. long time
Tweetk got it. just confused me. you would think id get 3 18g needles in my kit. cheap bastards =D

Tweetsyringe-filter-needle- stick the needle in the vial and push the solution through it. Make absolutely sure there is no air in the syringe. For whatever reason any air in the barrel of the syringe actually slows the flow rate down.
so.. syringe then attach the filter then attach the needle to the filter.

lol, if your reusing a needle make sure you thouroughly rinse it with alcohol. You really dont want to use a needle that has any non filtered product on it.
Tweetahhh.... gj
Tweetok so after i filter all the crap i just take the 5 cc syringe and squeeze that oil through the filter into my finished tren? =D
