TweetShe should do a bit more research before taking the plunge.. Anavar is not for "weight loss". There is so much info on it her on the forum and if her diet is not on target...she will most likely not be happy with the results.
TweetOne of my girlfriends is interested in some var. First time, little hesitant. Any suggestions on how much she should run and cycle length? Main goal is weight loss.

Tweetyou know the best thing is a good diet but having said that 5-10mg is a good starting point to see if there's any bad sides. i think some others can give you deals
TweetIs this her first run with any type of AAS? If she does decide to run it, there are other important supps for women to take along during the cycle.
I got this information from a lady who is VERY well versed in anavar.
Must haves when a women is taking var
5-10 grams of Vitamin B5 for possible cycle acne. If you are not sure if acne will be a problem start at 5 grams of B5 daily. If it becomes clear your skin REALLY does not like AAS after you start you should take 10 grams ED. It is very disgusting so you should mix it in your protein shake. B5 is to help with acne.
Taurine 2,000mg per day (this is not optional!)
Magnesium & Potassium 300mg each per day.
BCAAs and Amino Acids. Find a nice combo I use AminoX by BSN at least one scoop per day preworkout is best.
Multivitamin
Fish oil or better yet high quality Krill Oil cold pressed. This is to counter Anavar’s tendancy to raise cholesterol and lower HDL.

TweetAlso taking a good probiotic is a must sup addition for women who use anavar as it keeps the good bacteria in balance to help combat infections of the lady parts, lol

Tweetpretty simple here for the goal: fat burners equal fat loss and aas any aas equals weight gain. from water weight to muscle gain. diet diet diet and proper training are key to fat loss then worry about adding other things in. their is no quick fix to this process out there for anyone.

TweetAgreed brother there is no magic pill out there cardio cardio diet diet that's all you need if you got that down then u could look for gear to help but cardio and diet first
TweetThis is true and is key but the reality is that a large majority of people are looking for a quick fix and as we know, that is a very temporary thing. All we can do is offer advice and whatever someone takes from it is up to them.
That is why I say, as I say to anyone, EDUCATE yourself before taking anything. No question is ever a dumb question and that I see is the beginning of learning about something.
Bitty,
Take this advuce from us back to your friends and even better...have her join up here at FG!

Tweeti wasnt trying to be stern with my response baby1. i know you werent taking it that way either but men are just as guilty for this as women are and as soon as i saw that the result desired was weight loss i keyed in on it. now the key here is even with a cal def at best you wont see any weight drop whatsoever and most likely are going to see a gain. so that is going to freak out the individual. my biggest gripe i have with people is save you money. do some research on good lifestyle dieting practices, get in the gym lift weights and do some moderate cardio. now when you hit that plateau and you are stuck, then start looking for supps and aas. and a plateau doesnt occur when you half ass follow your diet and training which is what 90% of people do and then they start looking for outside help. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND WORK HARD AND EAT. on a good diet you eat far more quanities that are adequate at keeping you full during the day.
also i am going to point out something i saw in the last two ladies i know that were using var. now this doesnt apply to everyone but the last 2 it was common in them. 1 misseed her period for a full month. when the next one came she continued to bleed for 3wks until she stopped the var. the other lady only took it for 5 days and had the same thing and had to stop. now i had no part in their programs and they both had just asked me what the problem might be. idk if they were using the same var from the same person or what but that is something they were having happen.

TweetAny of the "lean gains" compounds you already need to be fairly lean to notice it working.

^^^This is so true! For some reason, women get the impression that anavar is a fat burner. My wife's first run at anavar, she actually put on about 12 LB's. She eats very clean, but her muscle growth was very impressive and her strength went through the roof. She has also taken anavar that was actually winstrol. Winstrol can be pawned off as anavar and happens frequently in my opinion, so you have to be very careful with that aspect as well. The best supps my wife has taken for weight loss was a T3/clen/keto cycle.
TweetThanks everyone for the feedback, keep it coming! The way my friend explained herself was that anavar at the beginning doses is much more mild and "healthier" than other options, including things like clen & t3, and has the most stable blood levels. Of course strict diet & training are also part of her program, to be clear. Can you guys talk a little more about var vs. clen/t3/etc in terms of likelihood of sides and short/long term health concerns? I know there is no cookie cutter, everyone is different, but this is one of her main concerns for the time being.
