      Has been this way for a few years. Was seeing a hematologist 2 years ago and giving a pint of blood twice a week. ODid get it down to about 48% then. This doc wasnt overly concerned though

      Unless you live at VERY high elevation I would find a new doctor and get another opinion.

      I used to work for this doc. He is very good, however, he is quite old now and very laid back. Think you are right. Time for another opinion
