Tweetthat sux bro.....
TweetSo I was doing a shot in the shoulder today. 1" 23ga. As I pull the needle out I notice a little blood coming out which is fine, but also I noticed some oil coming out also. I wiped it off and then more oil or something like it is coming out with blood mixed with it. What the hell is going on. Is my shoulder saying get this shit out of here or what. It was only a 1cc that I injected.Thanx.
Dont You hate it when people put there next cycle in here.
Tweetthat sux bro.....
TweetYeah it'll do that...the juice will try to come out of that injection spot. This is why right after I pull the needle out, I have a cotton swab with rubbing alcohol on it waiting.....I take the alcohol swab and put it over the injection spot with firm pressure...kinda massaging at the same time...I'll do this for a good 30 seconds to kinda rub in the juice.
I bend but I do not break.
Tweeti usually leave the needle in for about 10 seconds to let everything settle and usually i dont bleed and juice doens't come out.....
Tweetyou have to wait for the gear to disperse in the muscle. i have a piece of gauze soaked in alcohol ready when I pull the pin out I put the gauze on the site and massage vigorously for a minute or so. pressing my finger over the hole so nothing will come out.
TweetIt's fairly common.
TweetThats why i dont shoot shit in my shoulders anymore. I always see a lot of fluid coming out of my shoulder after i pull out. I prefer my thighs and glutes. Never waste gear there.Originally posted by G*B

TweetYou are fine bro, it happens to everybody. It just seems to happen more in the delts with myself as well.
the mechanic
Yes, that is my wife in the avatar, the little blonde in the center.......just a tad proud of her !
Tweetummm..no, that's not fine for me.You are fine bro, it happens to everybody. It just seems to happen more in the delts with myself as well.
use the z-track method. look it up online. basically you pull the skin tight in one direction before you do the injection, then when you pull out another area of skin is over that spot so blood and oil can't leak out.
look it up, Z-TRACK METHOD
Here:
Z-track technique
Place the ulnar side of your non-dominant hand on the chosen injection site and stretch the skin taut.
Hold the needle at 90 degrees to the skin.
Plunge the needle in quickly, penetrating the muscle and leaving about a third of the needle exposed.
Pull back on the plunger to observe for blood aspiration. If blood is aspirated the procedure should be discontinued.
If no blood is aspirated, slowly and continuously inject the drug.
After a couple of seconds withdraw the needle at the same angle at which it went in.
Release the skin. This has the effect of breaking the needle track as the skin and subcutaneous layers move back over the muscle. The drug is therefore locked within the muscle. (Belanger, 1985)
Air bubble technique
The procedure for the air bubble technique differs from the Z-track in only one way. When drawing up the medication, a small bubble of air is also drawn up. This is injected into the muscle with the drug, thus forming an air lock in the muscle depot preventing the medication from seeping out along the needle track into other subcutaneous tissue or onto the skin. (Pritchard and Mallett 1992, Taylor et al 1993)
Keen, (1986) suggests that the Z-track technique produces more pain at the injection site and this is further supported by MacGabhann (1996).
i added the air bubble part b/c i see sooooo many threads with members freaking out b/c they got a little air in the muscle. you need at least 3cc of pure air in a VEIN before you're at risk of anything dangerous.
dick
TweetGood to see you around renegade. I never heard of the air bubble technique before, kinda interesting.
Tweeti was in the hosp. with an iv and i saw a big bubble go into me... i panicked at first but nothing happened. i cant see all that threatening about air in your muscle.Originally posted by DickRenegade

TweetZ-track is the way to go. It takes something like 3-4cc of air injected into a vein to cause anything bad. And we are all aspirating anyway right?
I eat at least 6 times a day to build my body
I pray at least 6 times a day to build my soul
Tweeti allways leave the pin in with the plunger depressed for 10-15 seconds and apply pressure asap
