I didn't have pain in that elbow before Tuesday but I did do a hell of a back workout that day so I don't doubt it was from all the heavy pulling and extended sets I was doing. And my strength had gone up quite a bit recently so I'm thinking the grip hadn't kept up with the strength increase of the larger muscles. I did not hear or feel anything to make me think I had hurt anything. Then Wednesday elbow was sore and a tiny bit swollen. Then Thursday a little more sore and swollen but not anything crazy at first. Then at 2pm I was changing a treadmill belt and I know it was a little tender as I leaned on the elbow/forearm buttoning up the repair. Then I went to extend the arm and it was real stuff and I felt the skin was tight and then I grabbed the elbow and felt what you saw in the first picture. Then Thiraday night the point of the elbow had a tiny bit of blood/bruising. Then Friday morning the bruising of the under side started and it has grown and grown. Right now it is mid bicep to wrist. Pain is on the inner side near elbow, dead center on the underside and a little on outer side of the elbow joint.

Even though the doc said I don't need to wear a sling I probably will to make myself and everyone else aware that I am working with an injury. This is mentally killing me as I can't conceive of not training at all which I know will be recommended. I told my wife I was going to do legs on selectorized machines tomorrow and she said no but I have to keep training what I can.

Damn brotha that sucks. Hope you get some answers and it heals up quickly. I know it sucks, but in the meantime rest it up and take it easy with that arm until you know what happened.

Results from mri; no tears but the tricep tendon is inflamed and thickened and the bursa had filled with blood and then ruptured causing the delayed bruising. 4 weeks of testing they arm and then ear back into it. I have to work 3 doubles in five days starting Thursday so I may just rest completely until the 22nd and then get back to training because work is going to be so taxing it doesn't make sense to try to mix in training because I'll never recover.
