TweetI will not say a word when I go to any gym no conversation even with my wife or my brother maby some pointers but the gym is for work not face book I am a member of a snotty gym and I hate the place but where I live there are no real gyms
TweetSo I don't like a ton of socializing when I train. I'm a get in, focus, rage, get out. That being said I like to nod or say hi once in awhile. Recently I've been out of town and signed up at a friends gym for the month. This gym probably gets my into my top 5 most unfriendly gyms I've been too. Since I travel a lot i think I have a pretty good sample size to say that.
Not sure what causes some gyms to be like this. Sure sometimes it's yuppy, the area, money, who knows. This one really has no excuse...
Anyone else like that?

TweetHaven't experienced snooty yet. The old gym we went to made m feel like I was in a nightclub with a bunch of phonies, lol. Now I like to keep tunnel vision and resting ***** face cause I do not want to talk to anyone. fuzo does chat but not sure he likes to. I think there are gyms out there like that though.

TweetI prefer a gym that isn't too "friendly", I'm all for nodding and maybe a fist bump when I walk in but I'm there to train, bust ass and go home to eat and/or sleep. Not into the whole extraneous chatting ie how about that local sports team, did you watch the Batchelor last night etc? I avoid eye contact and conversation as much as possible in the gym, it's MY time and I get my hackles up when someone impinges on it.

TweetI like gyms where nobody talks to anyone. I go in, pull my baseball hat down low and put on some ear cans. If I see someone I know, I try to act like I didnt see them LOL
TweetYes sr my home gym was 1100 sqf only 4 treadmills and freeweights 19.00 a mth and 12.00 mth for tanning loved it smelled like sweat blood and tears
TweetIt all stems from some sort of insecurity in that person.. For example small penis, small muscles, no muscles, fat ass, avg joe, jealously towards the person they envy, chicks that think they are hot and act like straight up you know what's when they are hideous and it's laughable.. Or it could just simply be a bad day they are having or maybe they are in a mind set where they are focusing on something so much they space out and don't realize what just happened... It could be several things... However a guy at my gym walked right by me knocking at the door because I forgot my key ring at the house ( btw nvr seen this little shit before and it doesn't look like he attends very often or ever for that matter) and when another guy let me in oh boy I let that dude have it at the water fountain and of course here comes all the lame excuses blah blah yeah ok ***** go fuck yourself you know you just fucked up LOL. Everybody thinks they are cool till they get punched in the nose. Ok lol I kinda went off on a little rant towards the end I apologize! And no I didn't punch the dude in the gym I just have him a peace of my mind, I'm not going to jail over some douche bag.
TweetThose are the best.
TweetI just go to the gym to eat pizza !!!
SHIT , I let it out the bag !!! Yea , Planet Fitness !!!
TweetIts not that Im snooty, I just go to the gym to train and I swear there are people who go there looking for someone to talk to. There are some narcicissists at my gym who when they corner you, all they do is talk about themselves non stop. Some people dont know when to shut t f u
Tweetlol, such poor souls them narcissists. Bet ya catch them lookin in the mirror while they are talking, lol

TweetHave any of you guys had guys in your gym who talk so damn much that you literally have to walk away while they are standing there rambling on and on? lol
Tweetlol..absolutely,they like to see how they look while they are talking. "Ya, Im smart, I know everything and damn I look good"
TweetDamn DZONE have you met me before? Lmfao JK
TweetI don't really talk much in the gym. Maybe a hi before or after my workout if someone I know comes up to me, but for the most part I just train and leave. I've had a couple guys come up and ask me for some training advice at times and I always take a second to help, but then right back to my workout.
I hate the guys that come up to talk and stand too friggin close. Like a drunk in a bar. I'm like bro back the hell up. I can't stand when people knowingly or unknowingly get in my space lol.
