Ya it's just the blood dispersing. I actually feel a lot better today.

not to kick a brother when he was down and i am damn glad you are getting it checked out but i will tell you this from personal experience. when i originally had my partial tear from a blast, it made a small bruise and i didnt have any deforming in the area of my chest shoulder or the tie ins. it actually even felt normal other than the slight bruise. now when i blew it out completely, i tore the pec minor tendon that attaches to the shoulder and a piece of the pec minor. here is the freaky part, i only had a 3mm long by 1mm wide bruise on the outside of the pec. that was it for the day of. my entire delt and bicep were both black and blue when i got up the next day but still no real brusing on the chest at all. i had full range of motion and no issues at all following the initial shock of doing it. hell it didnt even hurt and my punk ass training partner couldnt pull the weight off of me, so i had to press it back up to rack after it popped.

enough story haha, i am a rambler. it looks to me like you may have actually popped something in your front delt or right in the front delt pec tie in. cross your fingers it isnt the top tendon of the bicep with a little bit of bicep tear. they damn sure need to be begged and pleaded with to fix that spot because it really doesnt affect the performance of the arm. that's what the surgeon told me

unless you have a bunch of metal scattered in your body, they should be able to get you in and out same day. cool thing about being retired i learned it doesnt take years to get taken care of with my retired military insurance lol. i hurt my distal tendon on one day, went to doc next day and had exam and xrays, had mri following day, follow up two days later and was in for a surgery consult at the follow up apt. so they dont mess around. over less than 5 days i had all the checks done and was all set

the scattered metal in your body really freaks out the mri people. even though i had had other mris done since being scattered with shrapnel and have a projectile still in me. the flip and have to do more x rays and also test to make sure it is safe. first mri i had done after being shot, they taped a vit e caps over the projectile to make sure it wasnt moving when they turned the machine on. that freaked me out big time

      friggin chest injury

      Really no pain.

So I went to my surgeon who did my acl. He was astonished at my range of motion, X-rays were negative (really that's a waste of time), and my pics of the injury daily I've taken really helped him. This guy works on professional athletes so he knows this injury. He is of the belief I won't need surgery. He thinks I ripped muscle to muscle not tendon or ripping from the bone.

But he wants an MRI to confirm so I will be getting it tonight.

not much of a dent and the bruising really isnt to bad today 6. actually doesnt look to bad at all honestly, mine entire bicep and shoulder turned completely black the next day and it lasted for about 2-3wks as it moved down my arm. hell man, you may have only tore some minor tissue or scar tissue that could be built up in there. sounds like you have a great doc in your corner man

We did a bunch of motions to see if we could get the chest to move unnaturally but it never did. It was just weak.

      Still hoping for no surgery!

I've been in a few in my days and they such. I didn't fit in the shoulder apparatus they needed on me and had to lay off centered so it was real cramped. I just tried to take a nap. Lol
