The fact that there is pain is a bit concerning. If its just numbness and it only happens at night, then thats not always a problem. Its good if it is only happening while asleep and not during the day when youre working out etc. There is a certain stretch for that that works in about 90% of cases. You can even do it while lying in bed. To stop numbness in your right arm, turn your head left as far as your neck will turn, then extend the right shoulder as far back as you can, then extend your wrist as far back as it will go. Then start moving your fingers bag and forth, wiggling your digits, the wiggling activates the motor nerves and deactives the sensory in a loop at the spinal cord...usually if this stretch is going to work the numbness will start going away instantly
