TweetYes they sure have gone up. Probably the same by us as by you. I buy organic so I am looking at around $5 a dozen.
TweetAt least here in the mid west the price of eggs has skyrocketed. The bird flu and the slaughter of thousands of chickens has taken the price of a dozen eggs from .99 to over 2.45. I eat a lot of eggs and it's insane. What are prices like around the country?

TweetBig egg eater:
Got scared about all those birds being slaughtered so I went to Sam's club May 28 and bought 10 dozen. They were only $7.84 for 5 doz. I will be checking the prices next time we're in there. I think we may have a local supplier though.

TweetI go to save a lot for my eggs. 18 large for 1.99!
TweetI just spent 12.99 for 5 dozen and if I remember correctly it was just 10.99. So the prices are going up, Thanks wally world.
TweetYep prices going up in my area too. It's funny, I never realized how many eggs I went through until the prices started going up lol.
TweetI dont buy eggs very often but they dont sound all that expensive even now. 5 dozen for 13 bucks seems cheap to me, but I dont know.
I saw on the news that they are bringing eggs in from norway, thats the first time the us has ever had to import eggs
TweetOn upper east coast they've gone from $2.39 to $3.59 a dozen in a relatively short time. I go through about 3-4 dozen a week and used to be happy it was my least expensive protein item but not anymore

TweetSame here in the South I'm glad I don't care for them very much
Tweetdont care for eggs, you crazy bro!
TweetI'd have to agree. I swear these chickens are getting 401k plans because the price of eggs is crazy. I'm paying around $3-4 per dozen for regular eggs (not organic). Occasionally, I hit the farmer's market and it's $5-8 per dozen depending on the vendor.
