TweetIf you go to a chiropractor, find one who is trustworthy and not someone just trying to milk your insurance and empty your wallet
TweetWelcome to the place where you will find 9 out of 10 of us have low back issues. On a good note, that brings you an abundance of ideas and helpful tips to aid in your training and relief. My foam roller has been my buddy for years. Try and use it daily and super important to roll all leg and glute muscles as tight ones play hell on our low back and hips. Something we often overlook is good/proper footwear. A great area to start and make sure you are wearing good shoes.. especially if you say you experience increased pain upon walking and running certain distances. Keep us posted and roll roll roll.

TweetSounds like u have bulging disk I have five in lower back and they only hurt like the examples u gave above stretching and ibu helps alot
TweetI have an appointment with my GP in the beginning of July, I will tell him my issues and have him take a look.
Thanks all!
Tweetif you get a ref to go to see a chiro or pt make sure you look for sports specialists and not just random clinics. i always check to make sure whoever i see works with athletes regularly before i will let them touch me. it is also a plus if they are athletes as well

TweetThere is a sports injury clinic very close to where I live, I will see if he can refer me there. I love my GP, he is a down to earth, great guy.
TweetMan I hate low back pain. Sometimes I have to sit a lot and then it gets worse than any heavy lifting. Friggin hate it!

Tweetlow back pain is almost a pain in the ass
Tweetexactly, i have the same issue as well, so much so that i hate traveling anywhere that is over an hour away cause it freaking kills me. another trick i learned from the chiro and my therapist is to roll the glutes as well as the lower back out really well. i was just going through the motions on glutes and hams and once i started hitting them more regularly it helped my back out even more.

TweetA friend of mine (she is also one of the two owners of the Kung Fu studio I recently started attending) has a Masters Degree in human internal physiology (or something along those lines). She asked me a ton of questions, did a quick exam, and had me walk around a bit. She is pretty sure my issues are due to a combination of things.
1. Increased physical activity over a prolonged period of time. I started working out, eating right, etc., about 8 months ago now. Started with a 4 month cut to take me from about 28% body fat to about 14%, then a soaking period to let the body get used to the new me, and then a bulk (which is about to end).
2. I walk "incorrectly". I roll my feet as I walk. This is not a surprise to me that I walk in an unusual fashion. I had metal shoes, leg braces, and a bar between my ankles when I was young. All done to fix my feet and leg positions. It was very successful, I can run pretty fast, etc.
3. Due to #2, I have the wrong shoes. I need to get my feet analyzed and get proper shoes.
She said getting new, proper, shoes should alleviate almost all of my back pain, as well as help with the shin splints I get. I am still going to get a roller, sounds like a great tool.

TweetJust giving you a confirmation of being right. What is it with women and being right, anyway?
Tweetlol, its not that ladies like to be right, we just like to be heard. I don't claim to know it all, infact I learn daily, I do that by listening watching, listening and being open minded.
Anyway, back to the matter at hand. I hope you can get this back better and please let us know how you are feeling and share what is working for you.

TweetI did not mean you HAVE to be right, just that ladies tend to be right a LOT more than I wish! My wife likes to remind me of this each time it takes me a while to show that she was right from the get go. But after 28 years of marriage, I have gotten a lot better at starting with her suggestions.
