Tweeti still say if you want white rice then have it. the difference in impact is going to be minimal at best. now i prob wouldnt advise to eat it on an off day but it prob still wouldnt hurt anything
TweetI just look up GI index of white, brown and basmatti.
The winner? Basmatti.
White rice 79, brown 56 and basmatti 52.

TweetNever tried basmatti with beans Maybe tomorrow dinner.

TweetDefinitely, getting all caught up in the GI index is not necessary. Sugar vs complex/unrefined is enough. Just found it interesting it came in the lowest.
Tweetand it figures i am eating it also haha. not intentional for real, i will be adding in cream of rice here shortly which is actually white rice along with the basmatti

Tweetthe basmatti and jasmine both are long cooking rice and about the same size as white or brown. the jasmine i believe has a little less carbs per serv or vice versa off the top of my head. they both have a little different smell and taste to them. it is very very mild flavor but you can tell

TweetWhy cream of rice? Certain benefit, or just changing it up?
I've seen it cycled in and out of your log. Can't remembered how it was timed as far as the phase of your diet.
TweetCheck out this link. It does side by side comparison of food per was ever serving you select.

Tweetit digests super easy and it is freaking delicious with sugar free jelly in it. i used to be a creature of habit and never would change anything ever during a prep other than amounts. i found out that i was making my body adapt to it and it wouldnt fill me out properly. so now i change it up every few wks or every month to keep it guessing a little better. i will put sweet potatoes back in here in a wk or so as well. then i will have up to 3 different types of carbs in at one time for certain days.

TweetYup I was on south beach diet years back and on Phase II I was allowed to have brown but not white rice.... when I actually compared the nutritional info... not much difference.... couldn't get a good answer why.
TweetYeah not a whole lot of difference between the two. I actually love jasmine rice. When I'm eating rice, it's usually jasmine just because I like the way it tastes.
TweetWhite rice is a simple carb and brown is a complex carb.
