TweetReg chicken breast does the Same to me guns full for hrs but ground chicken is great for me I can eat a pound and be hungry an hr later
Tweeti am brainstorming a mix of my own ground meat wise. i have one of those fancy stand mixers with a meat grinder attachments. so i may get some fresh boneless skinless chicken turkey and beef. grind it all together to make my pound portions. so it would be 1/3 chicken 1/3 turkey and 1/3 beef. i took a look at beef prices day before yesterday and almost crapped my pants. for me to eat like i always have it will cost almost 40 bucks a day in just steaks. so i am going to check one more store that i have access to and see how their prices look but the blend may be my option for this offseason

TweetI go to walmart or Harris tetter hell any grocery store at 5 am and get all the meat with reduced prices on it I save 70-80$ per week that way esp day after a holidY
TweetI buy frozen for that exact reason guns. Granted I eat no where near as much as you but i dont make anything for money so I need to save as much as I can when buying and also make sure it can last longer then a week in case I dont eat it.

Tweeti normally do sam's walmart or travel to the meat plant before it is packaged for the grocery stores. but my normal go to is sam's because they are the cheapest and the meat plant only does the sales once a month. i also have access to the commissary since i am retired but it isnt always as cheap as sam's but it is looking like i will be dragging my butt there a few times a wk to save a few bucks. the sad thing is last year eggs where to expensive to eat in any serious numbers and beef was cheaper now it's the opposite.
i used to do frozen also sfg but the sodium kills me in the offseaon and i try to keep as much extra bloat off as i can with fresh food. it may also be an option this year too

TweetYea i had access to the commissary in fort Bragg nc I miss that I am getting the SAMs card this mth
Tweetyou will love the savings at sam's man. i get that ground turk 5lbs for 12 bucks and fresh bonesless skinless chicken runs under 2 bucks a pound, hard to beat that. then my steaks used to be about 18bucks for almost 5lbs and now it is double that. that's the only thing that sucks ass

TweetYeah the sodium is the biggest down side from the frozen. A little off topic but whats a good number for sodium to try and stay under daily, or is it just the lower the better thing?

Tweetlots of factors play into daily sodium consumption for us man. for me its about 6g or less before i start to stay puff marshmellow man up really bad but i bloat very very easily. what your best guide is how much you sweat daily how easily you bloat and how well your body get's rid of and uses sodium. so i would start at about 3-4g a day and go up from there. i know people that can house 10+g a day and have zero issues at all and others that have to stay under 3g a day. when i worked in the heat on ranges and stuff i could get up close to 8g a day without any issues but since i retired and i am not in the heat daily i have to be much more conservative with my intake
