Anyone ever dealt with this before? I was doing these bodybuilding/ crossfit hybrids for months in an attempt to try and do what I love (BB workouts) but also keep up with the younger guys who I work with. It got to the point where I was doing some really stupid shit like 125 box jumps, all kinds of double unders, burpees, and weighted stair climbs ... Multiple times a week. Anyway I finally stopped being retarded and am resting my legs but if I sit for any longer than 10 min with my knees bent the distal portion of my knees start to throb and burn pretty badly. Just wondering if anyone has had this and what the outcome was (full recovery, chronic pain even after long break, etc)

Cant hang with the young ones anymore, lol. Do you have a foam roller? Try doing some rolling of the IT band. This area can hurt like hell when rolling but when it is tight, it can cause referred pain to the knee. Also roll, glutes, hips, hammys, quads, roll itall. It really does help and stop doing that crossfit stuff. It actually is know to cause more injuries than lifting, especially in older peeps

google it man. take a look at the rumble roller also. i use the rumble almost every day for light deep tissue and to loosen up tight areas. basically it is a foam cylinder that you lay on and roll back and forth to break up tight areas and stuff like that. it is brutal but it does work if you suck it up and work through the pain. i never do legs or back without doing it before and later after.
