TweetIt's a double whammy for me. My wife's birthday is around the same time, so I'm always double timing it this time of year. And absolutely no way should I combine the two lol.
TweetI would be just fine without such a holiday. Its manipulative. Sorry, am I being a buzz kill? lol

Tweetyeah i hate it. i got my wife flowers and shit but neither of us had much heart for the damn day.
Tweetnot at all. we don't celebrate it in our house. real men treat their women like a queen regardless of the arbitrary date chosen by Hallmark/DeBeers/Hershey's. last year it fell on a Tuesday so we celebrated taco tuesday. this year we celebrated wings wednesday. we don't exchange cards, candy, gifts, nothing. Wife's choice and one i agree with.
TweetWe do it for our daughter just as a fun thing. I like to make food fun anyway so there are many hearts on that day. It has a history to it and when they can make money of something, marketing explodes. For all that dislike it so much, there are a hell of a lot of men in the stores buying stuff for the girls in their life. Have a heart. I see it as a friendly reminder and a nice deflect from all the other chaos in our day to day lives.

TweetI've allways spend it alone.... Like Charlie Brown and a bag of old rocks so don't feel so bad.
