Yeah im angry. I have two beautiful neices. Age 4 and 6 . My brother cheated on his wife for two years so my sis n law divorced him. For 2 years they been fighting fir custody. My brothers intention is to get full custody and deem my sis n law unfit. Now since she has always been loyal clean n sober that would be hard. My parents of course feel the same wsy. He tries to set up an image thar he is father of the year by involving himself in church activities and he joined moms club. Now for one year i lived with him to help with the mortgage and kids. Now i wont review how disrepectful he was to me or how many times i felt like smashin his teeth in because i moved out because he is abusing my neices he abuses my 70 year old aunt and the girl he cheated on my sis n law lives there despite how many times he has slapped her and beat her. Yeah im ashamed to say he is related. My family enables him by coming over daily to clean his house do laundry cook and watch children because he is so overtired from being drunk everynight thst he cant perform his daily living skills. Now just knowing me from my comments here. Just imagine me in this hostile environment lol. Now ive reportef him to dept of children because i cant bare to see the kids not only be abused but watch abuse. My family wont make him seek treatment because he claims he found god and prayer is all he needs. Wtf? One night his girl crissi took the girls to see him play guitar at a restaurant he is a musician. During the middle of a song he stopped the band and told crissi that kids were too close to the stage . The youngest was sitting on crissis lap and they all clapped for daddy. So jeff screamed infront of the whole audience get the **** in the back row. He then jumped down slapped crissi on side of head and spit in her face in front of kids sudience and ironically crissis family had just arrived also. This was also not the first time they witnessed this. Anyway to make long story short. I not only moved out because i was soo disgusted. I also wrote a ten page report of these behaviors that take place around the children and sent it to my sister n laws lawyer. All this time she was alone and my family against her they hated her for divorcing jeff. Anyway because of this my family disowned me and i havent seen or heard from then since last thanksgiving . My dad has same name as me and he even went to my bank and closed my account to see if i would come asking for help. They took all familial contact and all my money. Ha ha ha ha foolish ****ing shit heads. Now actually im not sad or broken . Very hapoy actually. My sis n law met a nice guy and they have me over all the time to see girls. Now heres my reason to vent here; in order to determine who should have kids more the judge is having whats called guardian ad litem. Basicslly a psychologist that interviews both homes and reports to judge. Of course jeff and my fam portray him as humanitarian of the year. The parish priest and ladies of moms club write glowing letters lol. Now heres the ****ed up part. The gal refuses to talk to me even though my ten page report was used for a whole trial. My family say im too angry so gal questions my reliability. Yes its true i am. You guys see it. However how can he ignore jeffreys pattern of abuse? I wrote the gal a letter. Polite tactful but truthful. Detailing the incidents of physical and verbal abuse toward kids toward others in front of kids. I provided phone numbers of many witneses and even crissis father mother and sister who watched their daughter get punched pushed slapped and spit on yet these people are to be ignored. We have a police report that talk of jeffrey ststalking and threatenung to kill the mommy in front of kids during a drop off. Yet the gal instead of addressing these issues with jeff he is more concerned that my anger makes me unreliable. He also is concerned that lisa my sis n law is angry. Ahhhh helloooooof course she is her children are being exposed to an abusive and hostile envirinmment. Not even including that the girls are told by crissi my bro and fam that they hate mommy and mommy is sick ib the head daily that they have a home with daddy and just visit mommy. I guess we have no reason to be pissed off do we lol. Now one friend of mine dont approve that i stand on lisas side of courtroom and i am wrong because those kids are none of my business. Yeah ok........

That is terrible! Divorce is hard but making the other parent look bad only hurts the children. Even if you can't stand one another, you have to shut your mouth to the kids, which I am sure is hard. It sounds like the kids are not in a very healthy environment with their father.

I think this is your business to get involved. It is your family and we are talking about small children here who are basically helpless in this situation. I say don't back down and keep on trying to what is best for your nieces.

sucks bro....i was very close to my nieces and nephews, ut my turd brother poisoned them against the rest of the famly....i miss the older 2 alot, but what can i do. fukin family drama is the worst~~ i just hope to have a relationship with them again one day

ya, for sure, good thing those nieces of yours have you to stick up for them. You might be their only hope. Kudos to you for stepping u0p in behalf of those children.
I have two nephews from my brother that I would do anything for, but I have almost no contact with them except for 3 or 4 times a year. Both parents hate me and have told the kids bad stuff about me that isnt even true. My bro cheated on his wife and to save his marriage, he had to get involved in church, sunday school, boy scouts, etc...once my bro became a complete religious fanatic, he started judging me and jumping all over me for not going to church or reading the bible..LOL..One time at a holiday, I used the word crap, and the nexst day he calls my mom and tells her he doesnt appreciate me using the word crap...even tho my other brother swears and yells Jesus Christ!!! and holy fuk!!!..My bro decides to get upset because I said crap.LOL...Im sorry to say it, but it was religion that totally ruined my brother. He was a real cool dude to hang around with before he started going to church and hanging around with his pastor, it was all over for my bro and I to be friends anymore..very sad. Like the time I told him I liked the Movie Jackass, the next day he sends me an email and told me that Jesus would not approve of me watching a movie like Jackass...lol

That is tough man! You are for sure justified my friend! When a kid is getting abused (family or not) I feel like anyone that witnesses this should speak up. I had a brother n law once that was married with a kid. Now neither of them were stand up individuals but the mother verbally stated she would rather the kid be dead that live with her. After that and everything else, she got custody. Now I am in TN and I know things may be different, but it seems like 99% of the time the mother gets the kid...no matter what she does!

You just keep doing what you are doing. You are doing the right thing and that will show! If anyone reads your report and doesn't use any of that for the decision....WOW!!

The state can't ignore the report whether they believe it's truthful or not. I have a friend whose mother tried writing scathing stories about him to the police and they came and took his kids out of thehouse until they completed their investigation. He has to take parenting classes and anger management classes. The other messed up part is his mom almost lost custody of the kids too because she hasnt been keeping up her house properly. The laws can be good but they can make things worse. I pray for your family and i also commend you for not breaking his jaw, i don't think i could have witnessed it and let it go. If you would have done that it would have made you look even worse. Take care and do what you can.

Yeah the guardian ad litem still wont acknowledge the abuse issues. Instead he is focused on wether or not im reliable. Can u blieve that? However we got witnessses at rrstaurant the girls parents and sister all coraboratting. Today lisas lawyer addresses this. Its like gal is protecting abuser

It's kind of like my wife's child support issue. Her ex hasn't paid in years. He doesn't buy his kid any school clothes or anything. He moves every 3 months, works for cash, and buys a different mustang every 2 or 3 months. They go to court and he gets a slap on the wrist. The child support services treat him like a king but won't even return my wife's calls. It's like the system is completely backwards! Very disturbing!

Don't give up on this! It is our duty to try and protect children if we see them being mistreated. This saddens me to hear what people do to kids. I would give my life, at any time, to save my child. I like to think that most people feel that way.

I just sent the GAL a second letter to state that I expect him to follow up my new with a report otherwise If anything should happen to those girsl in the future that I will hold him personally and legally responsible because he neglected to follow up with my info. He is a mandated reporter by Mass Law
